In a lot of East Asian cultures, it is believed that there is an invisible red string tied to the finger of two people destined to meet. These strings could stretch and become tangled, representing moments in time that postpone the fateful moment of meeting but those ties, will never be broken. It is through these ties, that we believe that is why certain people enter our lives - to bring change.

‘RED(emption) HEART’ was published in volume 13 of Mob Journal.

Reflecting on our own lives, we may make mistakes in life, letting down the ones we love; almost as if we are pulling and tangling on these strings. It’s not until we have moments of self-realization and reflection that we seek redemption for our mistakes. By admitting our faults, we hope to mend the relationships with the ones we love and keep these bonds tight.
